Julie Mahdavi was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to a French mother and American-Iranian father. She grew up in Paris before returning to the USA in 2007. She holds a Bachelor in Marketing and Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master in Fashion Studies from The New School in New York City with a thesis on the desire of bionic limbs’ aesthetic and functionality.
Her working experience had mainly been formed in New York City she still decided to return To France at the end of 2020. She was aware of the lack of online presence French companies had compared to American ones; a skill that she had highly developed during her time working in New York City. This gap in the market brought her to create Azadeh Solutions. Her analytical business and creative approach focuses on three key areas: branding, graphic design, and social media management.

Before starting AS Julie worked in New York City at Dover Street Market where she directed Retail Operations, she was Operations Manager at Care+Wear a healthwear brand and had experience at Saks Fifth Avenue, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Jimmy Choo in the Events, Creative, Public Relations, and Marketing, Retail Operations sectors.
